Land Acknowledgement
Land Acknowledgement
I live and work on the unceded ancestral lands of the dxʷlilap (Tulalip), Coast Salish, and sdukʷalbixʷ (Snoqualmie) in Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla (Mount Si/North Bend areas). We honor with gratitude the land herself and all of her human and non-human ancestors: past, present, and emerging. This land acknowledgement is only a small part of how we can support Indigenous communities. We stand in solidarity with Native American nations by, in this small way, honoring the history and people of this place. We know it is not enough. But it is a start. Perhaps, if you’re reading this, take a moment to acknowledge the history, and the people, of whatever stolen land you are standing on.
